Cold Laser Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy, also known as Low-Level Laser Therapy or photobiomodulation, is a noninvasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to target painful or injured areas. Unlike surgical lasers, cold laser therapy does not cut or burn the skin.
The light energy is delivered to the treatment area to support the body's natural healing processes. Depending on the condition, Cold Laser Therapy may help decrease discomfort, support tissue recovery, and improve movement and function.

What to Expect
During treatment, a provider positions a handheld laser device over the targeted area. Protective eyewear may be provided and must be worn as directed. Treatment is generally painless, and many patients feel little to no sensation during the session.
Sessions are typically brief and require no injections or incisions. Most patients can return to their normal daily activities immediately following treatment.

Your provider will review your symptoms, medical history, medications, and treatment goals to determine whether Cold Laser Therapy is appropriate for you. Because neuropathy can have several different causes, a proper evaluation is important before beginning treatment. The number and frequency of treatments will vary depending on your condition and response to care.
